Approximately 1,500 babies come into our world at  the Birthing Center at  Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital every year.  The Martha Jefferson Hospital Foundation provides extra funding directly to the birthing center for family education services through donations from our community.   What better time and place to start educating families than right at the very beginning?  Families can purchase a silver sea turtle and engrave their child's name on it as a gift, or you can simply make a donation.   Education is key to a healthy start!
